Kwara Governor Nominates 26-Year-Old As Commissioner     

A 26-year-old commissioner has been nominated in Kwara State.

As part of efforts to implement the Not too Young to Rule Bill, Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, has nominated 26-year-old Joana Nnazua Kolo as a commissioner in his cabinet.

The female youngster's name was forwarded as a commissioner nominee to the Kwara State House of Assembly for confirmation on Tuesday.

Other women who made the list included Aisha Ahman Pategi from Patigi Local Government Area, Arinola Fatima Lawal from Ilorin East LGA, Mrs Sa’adatu Modibbo-Kawu from Ilorin South LGA and Kolo from Edu LGA.

Kolo, a graduate of Kwara State University who is presently observing her compulsory National Youth Service year in Jigawa State, will be Nigeria's youngest commissioner if confirmed after 27-year-old Oluwaseun Fakorede, who was appointed in Oyo State.
