Billionaire businessman, Sir Kesington Adebutu, will be conferred with the Odole Oodua title by the Ooni of ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, in October.

The owner of Premiere Lotto, popularly called Baba Ijebu, was chosen among a select few following his philanthropic gestures, positive contributions to human development, and promotion of cultural values and traditions of the Yoruba tribe.

Necessary arrangements towards a successful ceremony have been put in place.

The kings, high chiefs and chief priests are atop the coronation rites, which will reach the climax on the eve of the event in October.

Adebutu, after the iwuye, is expected to work closely with the Ooni of Ife and would go around the world to chart the course of the Yoruba tribe.

The Odole Oodua title, a position once occupied by the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo and subsequently by Chief G.O.K Ajayi, is a highly revered chieftaincy title in Yorubaland which was pioneered by the great Oranmiyan while he was still Prince of Ife.
