Nigerian entertainer and singer, Zlatan Ibile, who rose to fame under the wings of Olamide and Davido, is fast becoming a household name with his doggedness and ability to deliver street-worthy songs.
Zlatan, who was arrested along with his friend, Naira Marley, on the grounds of fraud, used the media and social media to his advantage during that period. Since his release, he has never given fans on social media a dull moment.
He recently uploaded a praise and worship session on Instagram and the video has since gone viral.
His latest song, titled 'Bolanle' and dedicated to his rumoured girlfriend, has gained recognition beyond the social media space.
The fast-rising street sensation went to Ikeja, Lagos, to perform and was held after his performance by street urchins who almost vandalised his car for refusing to 'settle' them.
After minutes of pleading to no avail, the singer was left with no choice but to appease the mob which was dangerously increasing in number.
Nigerians are reacting to these street urchins who would rather idle around to harass stars on the streets or at shows. Some fans felt the street urchins were the "lazy youths" the president referred to.
