Sowore Set To Be Released, Meets Bail Condition
Omoyele Sowore the Convener of #RevolutionNow protest may finally regain his freedom today (Thursday, September 26, 2019) from the custody of the Department of State Service (DSS) after meeting his bail conditions.
Chief Femi Falana, the lawyer of the Sahara Reporter publisher was sighted at the headquarters of the DSS in Abuja yesterday to effect the release.
A Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday ordered his release, directing the former presidential candidate to deposit his passport at the court’s registry for his availability at the hearing.
I am currently at their headquarters.Having complied with the condition given by the court, I am here for Sowore’s release.
Falana said via a message on Wednesday.
In compliance with court orders, Falana added that he has Sowore’s international passport submitted to the Deputy Chief Registrar of the court.
