The Director-General of the Department of State Services, Yusuf Bichi, has reportedly been ordered to release Sowore or face jail term.
The Federal High Court, in Abuja, threatened the DG of the DSS that he will be jailed over the agency's refusal to release the Sahara Reporters boss.
Sowore, who was one of the candidates at this year's presidential elections in the country, has been in the custody of the DSS since he was charged with treason after he organized the #RevolutionNow protest.
The publisher is spending his second month in their custody and despite being granted bail and fulfilling his bail conditions, he is still being held hostage.
The court has been informed of the refusal of the agency to release him and a notice was addressed to the DSS DG on Thursday, September 26.
