Segun Oniru has been tipped to be the next king of Iruland.
If information reaching us is anything to go by, then Aremo Segun Oniru may likely become the next King of Iruland in Eti-Osa Local Government area of Lagos State.
His late father, Oba Abiodun Idowu Oniru, died last week after a brief illness in Lagos.
Aremo Segun Oniru, being the first son and a crown prince, is highly favoured to become the next ruler of the land among his siblings.
To achieve this feat, his supporters and fans have launched a campaign to that effect, informing many Iruland residents that Aremo Segun is the rightful man for the throne.
The civil engineer turned politician lived and worked in the United Kingdom for 24 years before relocating to Nigeria in the early 2000s after his graduation.
Before his appointment as a commissioner, he was handling his family’s properties and was later appointed the Managing Director of a corporation called Waterfront and Tourism Development Corporation.
When the corporation became a full ministry in 2007, it was split into two and Oniru was assigned as the pioneer Commissioner for Waterfront and Infrastructural Development.
