Tyronne Ebuehi has been called up by Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, as a replacement for the injured Kenneth Omeruo.

The full-back makes a return to the Super Eagles squad after being sidelined by injury for more than a year.

Ebuehi has been recalled to the national team for the first time since his last game for the Super Eagles at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

In his last game for the three-time African champions, the 23-year-old was a second-half substitute replacing Brian Idowu in the 2-0 victory over Iceland.

Ebuehi, who joined Portuguese giants, Benfica, from Dutch club, ADO Den Haag, missed the entire 2018/2019 season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury in pre-season.

The Haarlem-born player, who made his debut for Nigeria in a friendly with Togo in June 2017, is fit again and has had 45 minutes of action with the Benfica reserves this season.
