Veteran broadcaster, Funmi Iyanda, premieres new movie at London BFI Film Festival.
Former TV host and presenter of 'New Dawn' on NTA, Funmi Iyanda, has taken her new film, titled 'Walking with Shadows', to the ongoing British Film Institute Festival holding in the United Kingdom.
“It is an honour to premiere this movie at one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world.
“We are definitely thrilled by the opportunity to share this thought-provoking story with the international community and hope they are inspired by it as much as we are,” Iyanda said.
The movie, according to the mother of one, is centered around the lead character, Ebele Njoko, whose search for acceptance leads him to create an alternate personality, one more pleasing and acceptable to society.
Explaining further, Iyanda said the movie is a timely appraisal of pressing issues as it promotes the importance of love and self-acceptance in a cultural and religiously charged society.
The movie, which was directed by Adife O Kelly, features Nollywood star actors, including Funlola Aofiyebi, Wale Ojo, Ozzy Agu, Zainab Balogun and Funsho Adeolu.
Nana Otedola, wife of billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, and Folake Abdulrazaq were among prominent Nigerians who attended the festival to identify with the veteran broadcaster.
