119 Nigerians sentenced to death in Malaysia.
Reports from Amnesty International have confirmed that 119 Nigerians out of a total of 1,281 people have been sentenced to death in Malaysia.
The group noted that most of the suspects were detained in 26 prison yards across the country.
The major offences of Nigerians were hard drug related, and the offences, according to Malaysian authorities, is a punishable offence with death sentence
“A startling 44 per cent (568) of all those sentenced to death were foreign nationals, from 43 countries. Nationals from Nigeria made up 21 per cent of this group, with those from Indonesia (16%), Iran (15%), India (10%), Philippines (8%) and Thailand (6%) following suit," the report reads.
