Akeredolu abandons his office to focus on his ill health.
The prolonged absence of Ondo State Governor, Ogbeni Rotimi Akeredolu over his failed health has become a major discourse in and outside the state.
The governor, according to informed sources, in the last few months has abandoned his official duties in the state to regain his health.
Though the details of the strange illness were yet to be confirmed as at the time of filing this report, checks revealed that Akeredolu is in Abuja to find relief from his ill health.
There are indications that the governor, who is seeking re-election, may not return for a second term following his suspension from the ruling party and his present ailment which has led to his inability to discharge his official duties in the last few weeks.
Further checks revealed that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may likely take over the state from the governor in the next election, as his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), is adding fuel to the feast of controversy which is taking points from Akeredolu’s rating.
