The Lagos State Police Command, on Friday, invited the sacked University of Lagos lecturer, Professor Boniface Igbeneghu, to the station for questioning.

The school management had fired the lecturer of European Languages who was engaged in the sex-for-grades scandal which went viral on social media a few weeks ago.

According to information made available to the media, the university don cum pastor was expected to report at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, on October 23, 2019. However, he was yet to report to the station as at the time of filing this report.

In a letter signed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the SCIID, Yetunde Alonge, Igbeneghu was asked to report at D10 section.

Further checks confirmed that the school authority was behind the invitation in a bid to put an end to the act in the school.

Igbenghu was last month exposed in a viral video documented by BBC undercover reporters.

The lecturer in the footage disclosed the existence of a cold room in the school premises where lecturers could have sexual intercourse with students to award grades
