Osun State Governor, Isiaka Oyetola, has sworn in prominent female journalist, Funke Egbemode, and 34 other commissioners and aides into his cabinet.
Egbemode, the President, Nigeria Guild of Editors (NGE), is the new Commissioner for Information in Osun State.
The governor, during the ceremony in Oshogbo, advised the cabinet members to do away with acts that will undermine the corporate integrity of his administration and the state.
Oyetola noted that he had zero tolerance for corruption and opacity, adding that government would deal with any official found wanting of misconduct.
Egbemode, while speaking on behalf of the newly-inaugurated cabinet members, appreciated the governor for the confidence reposed in them and gave the assurance that members would serve the state to the best of their ability.
“We will not disappoint you. We will put in our very best to support the administration and uplift the standard of living of the people of the state,” Egbemode stated.
