Representing President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, on Wednesday presided over the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja.
The weekly meeting, which commenced around 11 am, had all the ministers as well as a few close aides of the president in attendance.
There was a national anthem rendition before opening Christian and Muslim prayers were offered by the Hon Minister for Transportation, Rotimi Ameachi, and Hon Adamu Adamu, the Minister for Education.
The president, on Monday, left the country for international engagements in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, before heading to the United Kingdom for a private visit.
Buhari is expected to spend two weeks in the United Kingdom before returning home on November 17.
