Nigerian coach, Gernot Rohr, has recalled Daniel Akpeyi and captain, Ahmed Musa, to the Super Eagles squad for next month's AFCON qualifiers.

Akpeyi was left out of the team that faced Brazil in an international friendly against Brazil in Singapore while Ahmed Musa withdrew because of injury.

But with first-choice goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho, injured, Akpeyi who has not been involved in a Super Eagles game since the Africa Cup of Nations has been brought back.

Defender, Kenneth Omeruo, also makes a return after missing Nigeria's last two games, with Bryan Idowu and Mikel Agu also returning.

Rohr has decided not to risk Oghenekaro Etebo who was a doubt for the games but Victor Osimhen makes the cut despite suffering an injury in Lille 3-0 victory over Bordeaux last weekend.
