The six Premier League sides still left in this season's Carabao Cup have been drawn in the last eight of the competition.
There will be two Premier League ties. Holders, Manchester City, will face Oxford United while their neighbours, Manchester United, who beat Chelsea in the last round would host Colchester United.
European champions, Liverpool, who qualified after defeating Arsenal on penalties following a 5-5 thriller have been paired against Aston Villa. The Villians secured a 2-1 victory over Wolves on Wednesday night.
In the final fixture of the round, Everton and Leicester who dispatched Watford and Burton Albion will square off for a place in the semi-finals.
Carabao Cup Quarter-Finals draw in full:
Oxford United v Manchester City.
Manchester United v Colchester United.
Aston Villa v Liverpool.
Everton v Leicester City.
The games are set to be played during the week, commencing Monday, December 16, but the EFL is working with Liverpool to identify an alternative date for their match, due to the Merseysiders’ involvement in the FIFA Club World Cup.
