President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday, in Riyadh met the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman.

The two leaders, during the meeting, accepted to establish the Nigeria-Saudi Council aimed at promoting investments and enhancing relations between both countries.

The agreement was one of the major bilateral deals sealed yesterday during the Future Investment Initiative conference.

The meeting, according to the president’s aide, was earlier scheduled to hold at the office of the Crown Prince but out of respect for Mr President, Prince Salman arranged for a hotel room to meet the Nigerian leader in his relaxed mood.

The president, after a comprehensive discussion with the prince, thanked him and assured him of a stronger Nigeria-Saudi relationship.

“Nigeria has a large population mainly made up of dynamic, young people and partnerships of this type will help them to be productive and prosperous,” the president said.

He added that his government would continue to provide the enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the country.
