The Federal Government has confirmed that it would reopen Lagos-Ibadan Expressway for motorists on December 15.
Funso Adebiyi, the Director of the Federal Highways, South-West, dropped the hints on Monday while interacting with truck drivers in Ogere, Ogun State.
He disclosed that the aim was to ensure a free flow of traffic during the forthcoming yuletide season, adding that the work would continue after the season.
“We are going to open the entire road by the time Christmas approaches to enhance traffic flow,” he said.
Addressing truck drivers, Adebiyi said government would not apply force but would rather relate with them brotherly.
He urged them to either relocate or move backwards by at least 50 metres from the construction zone.
