The 40th-day Fidau Prayer, which held a few days ago in honour of Oba Idowu Oniru at his palace in Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos, was an event to remember.
The crème de la crème of the society, governors, senators and captains of industries came out to identify with the Oniru family.
After he passed on September 23, 2019, series of activities to mark the late Oba Oniru’s burial have been held before the 40th-day celebration to climax the four-week burial.
Family, friends and well-wishers also recorded their presence and all enjoyed good musical performances by King Sunny Ade and King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal.
Leading the other celebrities to the party was Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives.
Others included Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu; former governor of Ogun State, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun; Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi (Iya Adura); Elegushi of Ikateland, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi; former Governor of Ogun State, Aremo Segun Osoba, and wife, Derin, as well as the Onigando of Igando; Onilado of Ilado and Oba Mobandele Oyekan.
Children of the deceased, including Aremo Adesegun Oniru, Prince Damola Oniru, Tijani Oniru, Princesses Kofo and Yemisi, Tolu (Toolz), were all present at the party.
