There's an ongoing debate on Twitter about the acting capabilities of veteran Nollywood actor, Chief Pete Edochie.
The legendary actor, who has featured in a large number of movies since his early days in the industry, is having his acting skills called into question by a Twitter user.
In another of her continued attacks on the Nigerian movie industry (the movies, producers and actors/actresses), award-winning blogger, Sugabelly, clamped down hard on Edochie.
According to her, the actor who made his industry debut about 40 years ago isn't versatile and that makes him a bad actor.
"Pete Edochie is a really bad actor," she began on her verified Twitter account.
"He's been playing the same role his entire life. Acting isn't quoting proverbs.
"But Nigerians live and die by seniority so the older he gets, the less anybody is able to point this glaring elephant in the room out.
While Pete Edochie has taken numerous different acting roles, he is majorly known for playing the "elder" character or the tough "village" chief.
Sugabelly’s tweet has since drawn reactions from other users of the app, with fans of the Nollywood star bashing her for questioning their idol while a few others have agreed with her.
