The victorious Nigerian team that secured their second win of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Monday morning.

Gernot Rohr's men followed up the slim 2-1 win against neighbours, Benin Republic, with a more convincing display in Maseru against the Crocodiles of Lesotho.

Victor Osimhen scored his first international brace while Everton forward, Alex Iwobi, and Villarreal's Samuel Chukwueze also scored for the Eagles.

The team left the Southern African country a few hours after the game and arrived in Nigeria, where they would be discharged to their clubs, on Monday.

“The Eagles have landed in Abuja. Thank you all for the support,” the caption of the video confirming their arrival read on the team's official Twitter handle.

The three-time Africa Cup of Nations champions, who are not in action till next year, sit comfortably at the top of the Group L chart with 6 points. Benin Republic is in second position while Lesotho and Sierra Leone, both on 1 point, are in third and fourth positions.
