The one-year ban handed to Sunshine Stars coach, Kayode Julius, has been suspended by the League Management Company after he served seven months of the punishment.

In a tweet on their official Twitter page, the LMC confirmed that the coach is now free to take part in the club's activity with immediate effect with his punishment now suspended.

"The suspension of Sunshine Stars coach Kayode Julius has also come under review having served 7 months of the ban," a tweet by the LMC read.

"Following Julius' appeal and his exemplary behaviour, the remainder of his punishment which came into effect after Matchday 2 of the 2018/19 season is suspended with immediate effect."

Kayode, a coach with the Akure-based club, was suspended in April after he violently assaulted Lobi Stars goalkeeper, Ospino, at the Akure Township Stadium during an NPFL game.

The match was almost disrupted by his action, with the players and officials of the visiting side protesting for around fifteen minutes before later agreeing to continue.

In a show of goodwill, the LMC also pardoned Kano Pillars midfielder and captain, Rabiu Ali, who was serving a 12-game ban after instigating crowd violence following Super 6 match between Pillars and Enugu Rangers last season.
