Access Bank Named Most Outstanding Company In Sustainability

One of Nigeria’s leading retail banks, Access Bank, won for the third consecutive year the award of the 'Most Outstanding Company in Sustainability in Africa’ at the SERAS CSR Awards Africa. This solidifies the bank’s position as leaders in sustainability in Nigeria.

The award was given to the bank to recognize its outstanding efforts in promoting sustainability in its business operations and contributing positively to development across the various communities where it operates.

Receiving the award was Omobolanle Victor-Laniyan, the Access Bank Head of Sustainability. She credited the bank’s sustainability vision and unwavering support in the development and execution of groundbreaking projects to its leadership.

“We are delighted to be recognized as the ‘Most Outstanding Company in Sustainability in Africa’ for the third consecutive time. This award speaks to the effort of our team and the support we receive from the leadership of the bank, starting at the Board level.

“We feel motivated to sustain this level of excellence, knowing our efforts in conceptualizing and implementing groundbreaking sustainability projects will go a long way in helping us achieve the 2030 Sustainability Development Goals,” she said.

Other award recognitions received by the bank included the ‘Best Company in Partnership for Development’, ‘Best Company in Climate Action’, ‘Best Company in Sustainability Reporting’, and ‘Best Corporate Communications Team Award.’

The SERAS CSR Awards Africa is now in its 13th edition and has grown to become the prime corporate award which promotes and measures corporate social responsibility and sustainability in Africa.
