Nigeria-eligible striker, Cyriel Dessers, has been named the Player of the Month by the Eredivisie CV for the month of November.
The Heracles Almelo's attacker who has been in superb form for his club was statistically the best-performing football player in the Netherlands last month.
Dessers was involved in nine goals (6 goals and 3 assists) for the Heraclieden in November.
The 24-year-old scored a hat trick and assisted two against VVV-Venlo (6-1 win), notched another goal in the 4-1 defeat to Ajax before netting a brace and assisting another against ADO Den Haag (4-0 win).
With eleven goals, the forward who was born in Belgium to Nigerian parents, is the top marksman in the Dutch top-flight.
The former Vitesse man is also the first player of Heracles Almelo to find the back of the net eleven times in his first fifteen league games eclipsing the previous record which was held by Herman Morsink who scored ten goals in the 1963/1964 season.
Dessers, who recently revealed that he would love to play for Nigeria, having been reached out to by one of Gernot Rohr's assistant coaches, won the award ahead of AZ Alkmaar’s left-back, Owen Wijndal, and Ajax striker, Quincy striker.
