After a torrid clash of matches, Liverpool has had a complicated end of the year schedule as most of their games come in quick succession. Liverpool's coach Jurgen Klopp has now decided to take his best men to play the FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar. However, two key names were missing from the squad list.

Klopp will be without the options of Fabinho and Joel Matip, as they have been ruled out of the FIFA Club World Cup due to injury. Even if they make it back in time, their presence in the Carabao Cup match also seems unlikely.

Here's Liverpool's full list of players for the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup.

Goalkeepers: Alisson Becker, Adrián San Miguel, Andy Lonergan.

Defenders: Virgil Van Dijk, Dejan Lovren, Joe Gomez, Andrew Robertson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Neco Williams.

Midfielders: Georginio Wijnaldum, James Milner, Naby Keita, Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Adam Lallana, Curtis Jones.

Strikers: Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mané, Mohamed Salah, Xherdan Shaqiri, Rhian Brewster, Divock Origi, Harvey Elliot.

The Anfield outfit will be playing their first Club World Cup match on December 18 against Monterrey (CONCACAF CL winners), Al-Sadd, or Hienghene Sport.

The main cause of worry for Liverpool is their domestic commitment in the Carabao Cup clash scheduled for December 17, which is just a day before their FIFA World club match.

That has made it almost impossible for Liverpool to field a full-strength squad in both games. Meanwhile, Klopp has resolved to take his top guns to Qatar, leaving a young team to face Aston Villa in the cup tie.
