The Department of State Services (DSS) on Thursday, has been ordered to transfer Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and his wife.
The Federal High Court in Kaduna has ordered the transfer of Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, leader of the Islamic Movement, and his wife, Zeenat, to the Nigeria Correctional centre, Kaduna.
According to Justice Gideon Kurada, the leader and his wife, who were charged for homicide, unlawful assembly, and disruption of the public peace, among other charges, will be allowed access to their lawyers when transferred to Kaduna.
Magashi, the counsel for the Shi'ite leader, on behalf of the lead counsel, Femi Falana (SAN), had asked for the transfer of the leader to Kaduna correctional centre.
He gave his reason for the request to be that there was difficulty whenever El-Zakzaky's legal team wanted to see him at the DSS detention facility.
The case was then adjourned till February 6, 2020, for further hearing.
