Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, and the Speaker, Hon Mudashiru Obasa, gathered to celebrate prominent politician, Chief Demola Seriki, who turned 60 a few days ago.
Scores of Lagos socialites, family members, and well-wishers were also in attendance to celebrate with the former minister who has contributed in no small measure to the development of the state.
The two-day party affair kicked off with a thanksgiving service and Jumat service to honour God for the feat and the accomplishments. The grand finale party was held at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
It was all fun and merriment, as many could not stop asking for more of the affable jollification.
Seriki came into prominence when he was the chairman of the Lagos State Sports Council.
He was a three-term minister under his former party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The socialite cum politician first served as Minister of State for Agriculture and Water Resources. He was later redeployed to the post of the Supervising Minister for Mines and Steel Development, and later became Minister for Defence.
His last appointment was at the Ministry of State for Interior, where he gave a good account of himself.
