1. Banana Island
Banana Island is beautiful and classy, as it is where some billionaire entertainers and business moguls reside. After the statehouse, the island is the most secure residential area in the state, with quality security round the clock. Banana Island is situated inside the Ikoyi neighbourhood, the most affluent neighbourhood in Lagos.
Lekki is more popular than Victoria Island and Banana Island but not as expensive as the latter. Big and influential people in the society live in Lekki and it is also an economic hub in the state. Most Nigerian celebrities particularly reside and have businesses in Lekki Phase 1 and 2.
3. Victoria Garden City (VGC)
Another good place on the island to reside in is VGC, an acronym for Victoria Garden City. The houses there are lovely, colourful and look like pictures out of a book.
Magodo is home to first-generation billionaires and it is what is referred to as new money. It may not be the most expensive place to live on the mainland, though.
Ikeja is known for its high commercial activities and it is regarded as the economic centre of the state, as it houses the popular computer village, the state secretariat and the Muritala Muhammed International Airport. The popular Government Residential Area (GRA) is also at Ikeja and it is a major residential area for most people who reside on the mainland.
