Singers, Tiwa Savage and Wizkid, have reacted to the promotional video for a COZA event coming up in January.

The video which had both Wizkid and Tiwa talking about God with a lady and another one which had Davido chatting with a kid was edited and used to make videos advertising the 12-day COZA event.

Following in Davido’s footsteps, both Tiwa and Starboy have come out to distance themselves from the church while also stating their disappointment.

Tiwa Savage wrote on Twitter:

“It has been brought to my attention that there is a viral video which includes me advertising an upcoming COZA event. I want to state that I have nothing to do with the church and generally do not endorse their events.

"I’m extremely disappointed that I was fraudulently approached to simply comment on how good God has been to me and it has been wrongly edited to use my image to create an advert to deceive people. COZA this is wrong! I will be taking action if this is not immediately retracted.”

Wizkid on his part was less pragmatic with his choice of words, as he used the moment to attack 'fake' pastors.

“Starboy no dey endorse no Pastor or church o! Ogun kill you fake pastors!" the pop star wrote on Twitter before following it up with a scathing attack on the lady who filmed the video.
