Ekiti State Set To Attract Investors

David Ugbabe

The Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, has stated that his administration has taken pragmatic steps to engage and partner with development agencies and multinational organisations with a view to getting them to invest in the state.

Representing the governor, the Deputy Governor of the state, Bisi Egbeyemi, said: “To boost our infrastructure development, efforts are in top gear to attract a sum of $100 million to be invested in some critical infrastructure that are important to the acceleration of the socio-economic development of our dear state.”

Egbeyemi made the statement on Tuesday while rendering an account of his stewardship and receiving feedback from chairmen and secretaries of community development associations in his hometown, Isan Ekiti.

He further gave the assurance that from the beginning of next year, the state would witness an increase in the rate of rural road construction in a bid to tackle one of the problems militating against agriculture and rural development, one of the five pillars of his administration.
