Asisat Oshoala was in the ‘goal-rush’ mood on Saturday, as she netted four times in Barcelona Femeni’s 6-0 demolition of CD Tacon.

The 2019 African women's player of the year scored four times in an incredible show of superiority by the host.

Asisat opened the scoring just after two minutes of action when she did the easy job of converting Marta Torrejón cross from the right.

The Super Falcons captain got her second and Barcelona's third two minutes after Jennifer Hermoso had struck a fine shot in the 19th minute before Marta Torrejón made it 4-0 before the break.

With their superiority already established, the Catalans returned in the second half kicking off from where they stopped.

Two minutes into the second half, Asisat got her first competitive hat-trick since joining Barcelona.

The forward benefited from a miscued pass by a Tacon player which set her through on goal before she chipped the onrushing Ana Vallés.

Oshoala wrapped up the scoring just after the hour-mark when her unstoppable header off a cross by Hamraoui found the back of the post.

The 26-year-old who was crowned the African women's footballer of the year for a record-equaling fourth time this week has now scored fourteen goals in fourteen games for Barcelona this season.

Meanwhile, Oshoala's compatriot, Osinachi Ohale, was in action from start to finish for the Tacon but her presence could not save them from a heavy defeat to the Spanish top-flight leaders.

The win means Barcelona maintain their seven-point gap at the top of the table and Oshoala will hope to continue her impressive goalscoring run at home against Rayo Vallecano next week Saturday.
