The Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has inaugurated projects in Kano State, including the Murtala Mohammed Way flyover and the Katsina Road underpass, named after Alhaji Tijjani Hashim as well as lay the foundation for the construction of Kofan Mata underpass.
He explained that the inaugurated projects in the state were a great development and a part of the dividends of democracy for people in the state.
Osinbajo also commended the Emir, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II, for ensuring peace in the state.
Meanwhile, the Emir of Kano, on Monday, while receiving the Vice President in his palace in Kano commended him for recognising Kano as one of the peaceful states in the country.
He asked Osinbajo to consider Kano State as his second home. “He is always welcome in Kano", he said.
Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, in his remark, said the people of Kano deserved such development projects while commending the vice president for honouring the state with his presence at the occasion.
