Osinbajo Reunites Sanusi And Ganduje

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has settled the long rift between Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, and Mallam Sanusi Lamido, the Emir of Kano.

Osinbajo was able to make the truce on Monday when he visited the state to commission a number of road projects that were completed by Ganduje.

He also laid the foundation stone for the first state-owned cancer centre in Nigeria.

Osinbajo was able to bring the two heavyweights under one roof for reconciliation in a bid to move the state forward.

“This is an act of God to have Emir of Kano and Governor Ganduje under the same roof, especially in the palace,” said Abdullahi Sani, a resident of Kano.

It is interesting to note that there has been a prolonged battle between the governor and Sanusi.

The issue later became messier when Ganduje made several moves to demote the former CBN governor from his exalted seat of Emir, the highest position in the royal empire of the state.

The feud started as a result of Sanusi ‘s support for PDP governorship candidate against the second term bid of the Ganduje during the 2019 gubernatorial election.
