Nigerian dancer and crossdresser, James Brown of “they didn't caught me” fame, has declared that he is, in fact, HIV negative as opposed to what he said in the interview that made him famous.

The fast-rising social media personality became famous when he openly declared that he was HIV positive after the police arrested him and many others in an alleged gay party.

James and 56 others were arrested by the police in Lagos for alleged homosexual activities at Kelly Ann Hotel/ Event Centre in Egbeda, Lagos, in August 2018.

But James while speaking to journalists during their parade denied being gay and said he was only at the venue to perform, having been invited by the host.

He also claimed he told the police that he was HIV positive, yet they went ahead to arrest him. The vocal twerking and cultural dancer went on to state that the police labelled him gay even though 'they didn't caught' him.

Online, he gained many sympathizers and followers, with some celebrities, including Nigeria's most famous crossdresser, Bobrisky, dashing him money for his bravery.

Since that episode with the police, James has taken advantage of the publicity and made a name for himself on Instagram with almost a hundred thousand people now following him.

But this week, the Instagram clown caused a stir on the internet when he revealed that he lied about his HIV status to save himself from the police net.

It appears the lie he told to regain his freedom is now hunting him and that has made him cry out via his Instagram stories.
