Veteran Nollywood actor, Steve Eboh, has said that most Nigerian actors are more concerned about their looks onset than the roles they are paid for.
He made this statement in a recent interview with Doreen Avio, where he maintained that too much time is spent on making actresses up than on acting.
"Everyone wants to be fair so the makeup takes a lot of time and I don't have the patience waiting for an actress to make up for one hour, and I’m waiting for what? To do one or two scenes? The girls want to look pretty that when you see them on an ordinary day, you won't even recognise them,” he said
The Nollywood actor blamed such vanity and self-centred behaviour on social media.
"You know Africans are the highest sustainer of human grace but with what I am seeing these days, it shows we are more self-centered. It's all about me and its all the fault of social media, Instagram, WhatsApp and others,” he said.
He also advised actors to restrict makeup time to two or three minutes so that actors can be onset early to play their roles.
