French Ligue 1 side, Nantes, are keen on keeping Nigerian international, Moses Simon, at the club after the expiration of his season-long loan deal from Levante.

The Super Eagles forward has been a key member of the Canaries who are having a remarkable season so far in the French top-flight.

Having netted on his debut for Christian Gourcuff’s side, the 24-year-old has gone on to notch six goals and created eight assists for his teammates in his 22 appearances for the team.

His latest strike came in the 4-3 French Cup home defeat to Olympic Lyon last Saturday – where he also provided two assists.

Moses' fine form has endeared him to the heart of his manager, with the French tactician, revealing that he will be pleased to keep him beyond his loan spell.

“Moses [Simon] brings something special and enjoys his football here,” Gourcuff told Goal.

The former Gent man has also not hidden his desire to commit his future to the team, currently in 4th position on the French Ligue 1 table.

“I like the fans and the club, even when we were three goals down against Lyon they kept cheering and pushing us,” Simon told Goal.

“Even though we lost the game, the love and emotion were clear to see because we gave everything but it wasn’t enough.”
