Akeredolu Joins Other Governors To Pay 30,000 Minimum Wage

The Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, on Saturday, announced after a series of meetings with stakeholders and union leaders, that N30,000 minimum wage will be paid.

The Organized Labor confirmed the news to the media after a closed door meeting with officials of the state government including Trade Union Congress and Joint Negotiation Council.

Others at the meeting included the state legislature, judiciary, and other top government functionaries.

Briefing newsmen, the state’s Head of Service, Mr Oluwadare Aragbaye, said the government has also approved 33 per cent for those who retired before 2014 and peculiar allowances for some workers.

The state government agreed to pay full payment of the new wage to only level 6 downwards while level 7 above had experienced consequential adjustment
