MFM Escape With Draw Against Plateau United At Agege

MFM FC had to fight hard to get a point against high-flying Plateau United at the Agege Stadium in a Nigerian Professional Football League matchday 17 encounter.

For most part of the game, the home side struggled to match the Jos boys who were topping the League table before Sunday's games.

But Plateau's wastefulness in front of the goalpost was their greatest undoing, costing them their spot at the top of the log, following Lobi's home win against Nasarawa United.

The Olukoya boys, who have defender Joshua Akpudje’s heroics and goalkeeper, Olorunfemi’s saving gloves to thank for shutting out the visitors, are now 9th on the log, although they have a game in hand.

Meanwhile, Rivers United failed to take advantage of Plateau's slip, as they were also held to a goalless draw by Wikki Tourist at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt.

Adamawa United pipped Kwara United to move up one place from the base of the table while Akwa United cruised past Heartland in Uyo.
