Super Eagles goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi, has signed a new two-year deal with South African side, Kaizer Chiefs.
The former Chippa United shot-stopper who has been in fine form for Amakhosi as he extends his stay with them for the next two seasons with an option to renew for another year.
Akpeyi joined in January 2019 when he was brought in, while the Chiefs were struggling in the goalkeeping department without Khune.
His initial contract was set to expire in June this year, but his team was impressed with his performance and they have now locked him down for the next 24 months.
The 33-year-old shot-stopper had a tough start at Naturena, with many fans calling for the club to release him after his first six months at the club.
The former Heartland man has, however, proved himself this term and helped the Chiefs top the standings with his fantastic displays in between the sticks.
He has kept eight clean sheets in eighteen appearances for the Glamour Boys thus far, conceding 15 goals in the process.
