It would come as a big surprise to many that a household name as big as Patoranking has never had a solo concert in spite of his huge success in the music industry.
The music star is set to commence his 2020 on a high with his first-ever concert, tagged ‘The Patoranking Experience’, which will hold on February 14 at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
Wizkid, with “Starboyfest”, Davido with “City of David”, Olamide with “Olamide Live In Concert” (OLIC), are some of the music artists that have had their solo concert each year for the past three years, and Patoranking is looking to join them.
Artistes billed to perform at his concert include Niniola, Waje, Timaya, 2 Baba, Tekno, and Mayorkun.
The Anambra-born singer, who was rumoured to have sold rat poison on the roadside, started his career by collaborating with XProject, Konga, Slam and Reggie Rockstone. He then signed his first official record deal with K-Solo’s Igberaga Records in 2010 and released his first hit song ‘Up In D Club.’
He later joined Dem Mama Records, founded by the King of Dance Hall music, Timaya, shortly after collaborating with him on another smashing single titled, ‘Alubarika.’
In February 2014, he signed a record deal with Foston Musik and released yet another banging single, ‘Girlie O,’ which skyrocketed him to prominence. He has been riding to fame and fortune ever since.
