An up and coming Nigerian singer, Kay Phonix, has shared the messages his mother sent him after he told her he wasn't allowed to perform at an event he was invited to.
The singer had travelled from his home in Ibadan to Ilorin where the event was happening but he wasn't allowed to go on stage, probably because he isn't a big name yet.
Phonix told his mum about the situation and in a bid to raise his hope, the mother sent him some inspiring messages with a Naira Marley sticker via their WhatsApp chat.
"I called my mum last night about a show I was invited all the way from Ibadan to Ilorin but wasn't allowed to perform and she sent me this morning 😭😭 Only God knows where she got the Naira Marley sticker 😂😂," the singer captioned the screenshot of the chat which was on his Twitter page.
The act of his mother has been widely appreciated by users of the microblogging platform, with many going on to download his songs afterwards.
