Former Chelsea defender, Kenneth Omeruo, says he hopes that one day Chelsea will regret its decision to let him go.

The Nigerian was sold to the Spanish club, Leganes, two summers ago after being on the books of the London club for several years without making a single appearance.

Omeruo joined Chelsea from Belgian club, Standard Liege, in January 2012 but his nearly seven years stint as a Blues player saw him being loaned to different clubs including, ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough, Kasimpasa,  Alanyaspor, and Leganes.

Not convinced of his ability, Chelsea sold him to Leganes in 2018 after he had spent the previous season on loan.

“I hope they regret selling me,” Omeruo is quoted to have said in an interview with Hora Blanquiazul.

“I want them to really regret it, I didn’t have the chance to play, but it was a good experience to play in another league.”

Since joining the Spanish outfit on a permanent deal, Omeruo has played 19 games, finding the back of the net once.
