The Argentine forward, Paulo Dybala, has reportedly become the second Juventus player to test positive for the coronavirus after Daniel Rugani.

In a worrying development for Juventus, Dybala has become the second player at the club to test positive for the virus.

According to a report by media outlet, El Nacional, the 26-year-old is now in quarantine, with 121 members of club staff in voluntary isolation.

El Nacional also notes that Dybala’s club and national team-mate, Gonzalo Higuain, is being monitored closely having recently been in contact with the former Palermo.

The pandemic has affected sporting activities across the globe with the Serie A, French Ligue and La Liga already suspended while Arsenal's game against Brighton this weekend has been postponed.

The Premier League released a statement on Thursday evening that the other games would go on as planned but that decision is set to be revoked after several teams reported that their players have shown signs and symptoms of COVID-19.
