There have been some top performers in the Europa League this season, with players at different clubs showing their potentials in UEFA's second-tier competition.

Statistics website, Whoscored, has ranked every player who has featured in the competition this season based on the data they have collated from games.

With European football now on hold due to the outbreak of coronavirus, Whoscored has now shared the team of the season so far and two Nigerians have made the cut.

Arsenal's winger, Bukayo Saka, who has played the majority of the season in the full-back, and Partizan Belgrade striker, Umar Sadiq, have been listed even though their teams have been eliminated from the competition.

The two players are stand out performers for their respective teams, scoring and assisting 12 goals between them.

Saka scored twice for Arsenal and assisted his teammates with another five to get a Whoscored rating of 7.78, while Umar was one of the most prolific marksmen, scoring four times in the group stages and assisting one to get 7.58 average ratings.

Although Odion Ighalo has a higher rating than both players in the competition, having scored twice and assisted one in his three games for Manchester United, the ex-Watford man doesn't make the list as he has not played up to six games, which was the benchmark Whoscored used for the list.

While Ighalo misses out, his fellow January signing, Bruno Fernandes, is one of three United players to feature on the list. The Portuguese midfielder who joined from Sporting Lisbon has the highest ratings of all the players on the list, having had a hand in ten goals (6 goals, 4 assists) for both United and Sporting in the competition.
