Coronavirus Count Rises To 65 After NCDC Announces 14 New Cases

The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases has increased to 65 after the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 14 more cases.

In an update on their official Twitter handle, the NCDC confirmed that fourteen more people have tested positive to the infection in Nigeria.

Of the 14 new cases, 12 are in Lagos, increasing the total in the state to 44, while Bauchi recorded its second confirmed case of the virus.

The Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, recorded the other one case, raising the number of confirmed cases in the FCT to 11, the second-highest in the country.

The update read: "14 new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in Nigeria: 2 in FCT, 12 in Lagos Of the 14, 6 were detected on a vessel, 3 are returning travellers into Nigeria & 1 is close contact of a confirmed case As at 7:35 pm 26th March, there are 65 confirmed cases 3 discharged 1 death.”
