The Lagos State Government has taken delivery of a newly built Isolation centre from Guaranty Trust Bank for the management of COVID-19 cases in the state.

In a handover ceremony which held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, where the 110-bed isolation centre has been built, the governor of the state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, thanked the bank and their partners for the good job they had done.

The governor disclosed that the state of the art facility was built in just a week by top professionals who handled the project.

Sanwo-Olu noted that the place has an ICU, regular bed spaces, a pharmacy department, doctors quarters and everything that should be in an international standard isolation centre.

He added that the state is doing their best to prepare well just in case there is a huge spike of cases across the state.

Speaking at the ceremony, Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank, Mr Segun Agbaje, acknowledged the efforts of their other financing partners, Africa Finance Cooperation and Mandilas Group.

Agbaje also thanked the Lagos State government for giving his organization the opportunity to support the battle against COVID-19 in the state.
