The lockdown is tough for most of us. We had a routine before now, one where we woke early, got dressed and headed out to the office or went out for our various businesses.

Now, suddenly, everything has changed and we have to work or do our businesses from home. For many of us, it is a rude shock from the life we once knew and loved. Adjusting to this new lifestyle is certainly not a tea party, and that is why we have compiled a list of things you can do in the morning to start your day right.

1. Wake early

Wake early

You are still working. The only difference is, you are not going to the office. So, do the same things you would do if you were going to the office, including waking early. This way, you can get in as much work as possible while you are still fresh and rested from the previous night.

2. Exercise

Exercise

Exercises are known to release feel-good hormones that keep you happy and satisfied. When you start your day feeling good and happy, you are more likely to have a productive day than if you just started your business right away. It will also give you the strength you need to stay active and productive all day.

3. Pray/Plan/Prepare

Meditate

Start your day with prayers that can keep you going the entire day. If you are not one to pray, meditate on something positive, a book or an app on positivity and productivity. You should also make plans for the day. Write your goals for the day and strategize on how you want to achieve them.

4. Have a healthy breakfast

Breakfast

Do not make it a habit to skip breakfast. There is nothing as unhealthy as skipping breakfast. It acts as the fuel your body needs to run on throughout the day. Have something light but healthy. This is not the time to eat something heavy that will make you sleepy.

5. Get rid of distractions

Social media

Get rid of anything you might find distracting during the day. Keep a bottle of water on your table so you do not have to leave your workspace while working. Sign out of your social media accounts if they are not directly related to your work. Make sure you use the restroom before you start working.
