Auditions for the fifth edition of the biggest reality TV show in Africa have been under way for six days, and many are bringing their A-game online while others ... well, not so much.

Here, find the six types of people that are vying for a spot on the BBNaija show this season.

1. The Hopeful

This auditionee has no known talent and does not do anything extra to wow the judges but hopes to get in anyway. They imagine themselves in the house already, day-dreaming about meeting fellow contestants and of even winning the show. Yet, their audition videos are not out of the ordinary or spectacular. They take every little thing as a sign that they will be on the show this year.

2. The Gifted

This is the talented auditionee who can sing, dance, act, draw, paint or play musical instruments, among many other things. Planning to make a great impression on the judges, these gifted ones go all out to show off one or more of their talents in their audition videos. They sure do have enough tricks up their sleeves, and just when you think they are done, they surprise you with yet another trick.

3. The Confident

The confident auditionee seems to fall in the hopeful category, but they are not one and the same. While the hopeful does not strive to do anything extra, the confident works hard to get in, making a unique audition video, selling or showing off their skills. They are confident in their ability to make things happen, but the hopeful auditionee merely desires the best result.

4. The Hilarious and/or Talker

The Hilarious and/or Talker

This auditionee could be one or both. They mistake BBNaija for a comedy show and make their audition video look little less than a comedy skit. They may also act like stand-up comedians, talking nineteen to the dozen, or going on and on about something they think is funny and might impress the judges.

5. The Mini-Celebrity

Bloggers, Vloggers, influencers and the likes of Tacha in last year's edition fall into this category. They already have a huge following on social media and have loyal fans who would do anything for them. One command from them and they have their fans running to do their bidding. These ones are also confident, as they are sure that if nothing else works for them, their mini-celebrity status will.

6. The Pageant Winner

These ones are aware of their good looks and waste no time in flaunting what they have. The men have great, fit physiques with six packs and have either won a contest or have been named runner up, while the women have the perfect hourglass shapes and have won one or more beauty contests in the past. They may or may not possess any extra skills besides their good looks, but they sure know how to use this to their advantage and hope to wow the judges this way.
