Nigeria has recorded the highest number of new confirmed COVID-19 cases since the first case was recorded on February 27, 2020.
According to the official figures released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), 553 new cases were recorded in 15 states with Lagos leading at 378.
The FCT and Delta State followed with 52 and 23 cases respectively.
The total number of cases stands at 9,855 while the number of discharged patients is 2,856 with 273 deaths.
Lagos State has a total number of 4,755 cases, with Kano and Abuja following at 951 and 616 respectively.
Cross River State remains the only virus-free state in the country.
