Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday, June 4, announced that the ban on worship centres in the state would be lifted, effective from June 19 for mosques and June 21 for churches.
The governor made the announcement a few days after insisting that the restriction on religious gatherings in the state would remain.
Many Lagos residents took to social media to express their displeasure, as the state has recorded the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the country.
