790 new confirmed COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the country, reports the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
This, according to the report, brings the total number of cases to 26,484, with 603 deaths while 10,152 people have recovered.
The new cases were recorded in 21 states, including Delta (166), Lagos (120), Enugu (33), FCT (65), Edo (60), Ogun (43), Kano (41), Kaduna (39), Ondo (33), Rivers (32) Bayelsa (29), Katsina (21), Imo (20), Kwara (18), Oyo (11), Abia (10), Benue (6), Gombe (4), Yobe (2), Bauchi (2), and Gombe (2).
Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, confirmed yesterday that he and his wife had tested positive for the virus.
The Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, and the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, had earlier confirmed that they had contracted the virus.
Some governors who have recovered from COVID-19 include Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Senator Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State.
